Course overview: The 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series focuses on critical technical topics that will support new users’ implementation of 3D modeling. This series consists of the following courses:
• 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series: Introduction to 3D Engineered Models for Highway Transportation - Module 1
• 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series: Surveying and 3D Engineered Models - Module 2
• 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series: 3D Engineered Models in Highway Design - Module 3
• 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series: Applications of 3D Engineered Models in Highway Construction and Quality Assurance - Module 4
The 3D Engineered Models for Construction Series: Overview introduces participants to the course and provides information about the four modules that make up series. Generally speaking, these WBTs assist owners, design professionals, and contractors in understanding the benefits of 3D modeling technology.
Training level: This training is recommended for the Transportation Curriculum Coordination Council levels III and IV.
Target audience: This training is available to anyone interested in learning more about the use of 3D engineered models in construction. This training is recommended for mid-level managers with owner agencies in the following roles: district county, city, or State construction engineer, project design engineer/manager, on-site resident/project engineer, construction manager, and construction inspector.?
Learning outcomes: Upon completion of this module, participants will be able to:
