This report, the second since the Board of Directors approved the 2014-2019 Strategic Plan, was designed to help our members understand how the association is making AASHTO's mission and vision a reality. For more than 100 years, the association has shared best practices and embraced innovations. AASHTO has evolved in support of the interests and priorities of our member state departments of transportation and the communities they serve. This 2016 report, highlights AASHTO's diverse activities and the strenuous support of our state DOTs efforts to improve safety, enhance our quality of life, and support an expanding economy.
