This self-study course is designed to be taken at your convenience, and on your own schedule. You have 90 days to finish the course from the time of purchase.
This self-study course provides information and instruction on the design and construction of nuclear power plant piping systems to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section III, Division 1, Subsection NC and ND. The course focuses on the appropriate use of the ASME BPVC Section III, Division 1, Subsection NC and ND for the design and construction of Class 2/3 piping systems. While they will be discussed briefly, detailed instruction will not be provided on the design and construction of Class 2/3 pipe supports. Participant exercises are provided as an integral part of the training program.
You Will Learn To:
- Explain Class 2/3 Piping Design by Rule methods
- Identify Class 2/3 pipe supports design requirements
- Explain selected individual piping component design requirements
- Describe the design of a simple Class 2/3 piping system
- Describe “non-Code” but related nuclear piping design issues
