Air Showers, Epoxy-Finished CR Steel 6010-18A
Completely self-contained, pre-wired, fully equipped Air Shower/Tunnel systems help solve decontamination problems Modular design lets you order a system to suit your cleanroom HEPA filter/blower modules (rated 99.97% efficient @ 0.3 micron particles) wash personnel with Class 100 air to dislodge and remove particles Solid-state microprocessor panel provides programmable control over access door operation Interlocking doors minimize contamination, release automatically in the event of power failure Fluorescent lighting is housed in the ceiling for minimal turbulence Available in white epoxy-finished CR steel, stainless steel, or plastic laminate to meet various cleanroom requirements Variety of sizes and door configurations Economical to operate, easy to maintain System options include HEPA-filtered ceiling, ionized grid, and safety glazing These Air Showers and Tunnels offer an effective way to remove surface-deposited particles from personnel—before they get to the cleanroom. Enter the Cleanroom — and Leave Your Particles Behind! Each unit is a fully equipped, protected passageway that allows large numbers of personnel to pass into controlled areas without sacrificing convenience or cleanliness. Air Showers and Tunnels supply concentrated Class 100, clean air flows to lift off contamination while an individual stands in, or walks through, a specially constructed air chamber. Whenever an automatic floor switch inside the unit is activated, pressurized air streams from adjustable nozzles* at a velocity between 6,000 and 8,000 feet per minute (30 m/s and 41 m/s), a force that ensures efficient scrubbing action necessary to remove particulate matter. (Air showers in units without floors are activated by motion sensors.) Nozzles* are arranged on walls and ceilings in a uniform pattern to ensure effective distribution of filtered air; the lowest nozzle is positioned 19" (483 mm) off the floor. The closed-loop circulation design directs contaminated air downward through grills and hollow walls of the Air Shower and back to the filter, which removes 99.97% of all particles as small as 0.3 microns. Interlocking doors prevent unnecessary contamination inflow and thereby prevent cross-contamination of the cleanroom and the Air Shower or Tunnel. They automatically release in the event of a power failure to ensure operator safety. Fluorescent lighting, built into the ceiling to allow unimpeded air circulation, ensures full visibility no matter what size or configuration you select. In addition, an emergency stop button on each Air Shower/Tunnel sounds an alarm and releases the door lock for exiting. Control Panel Enhances Convenience and Security Each unit includes a solid-state microprocessor panel (located at the front entrance) that provides complete control over access to the Air Shower/Tunnel (and hence to the cleanroom itself). It includes a light switch, and audible alarm and alarm reset, and a 4-line, 64-character alpha-numeric LCD display that monitors system function during normal operation and displays menu functions for service and system changes. A 16-key membrane keypad allows a user to turn the system on and off (with a 4-digit code), to get into systems set-up mode (with a 4-digit code), and to program such information as a system clock, cycle time, access door delay, time lock feature, and single-direction access code. These capabilities let you program as much security into your system as you require! This system also includes full microprocessor diagnostic capabilities, covering operation of the blower, door switch, door lock, and presence sensor/mat switch. Clean, Durable Construction Select models in any of three materials to suit your cleanroom requirements: white epoxy-finished 16-gauge cold rolled steel, 304 stainless steel, or particle board with a plastic laminate that seals all exposed edges.* All models feature anodized aluminum access doors with transparent plexiglass windows. Cleanroom Air Showers are available from 52" to 90" (1321 mm to 2286 mm) wide and up to 96" (2438 mm) long. Air Tunnels, available in 52" and 58" (1321 mm and 1473 mm) widths, extend from 96" to 240" (2438 mm to 6096 mm) long and include all the standard features of the Air Showers. All models are 90" (2286 mm) high, add 6" (152 mm) to height for HEPA filter ceiling models; see ordering tables below. The double-door models listed below are specially designed to allow carts and large equipment to be passed into the cleanroom; these models do not feature floors.
