NEI Corporation develops and manufactures coating formulations that inhibit corrosion of steel, aluminum and magnesium. We use our own barrier and self-healing technologies, enabled by nanoscale particles dispersed in organic (polymer) matrices, to create custom solutions for the demanding anticorrosion requirements of our customers.

NEI currently offers the first "green" self-healing anticorrosion coating system for metals. Our coatings – pretreatments, primers and topcoats – are built on a proprietary nanotechnology platform that protects metals and their alloys by slowing down corrosion mechanisms and stimulating autonomous processes that heal scratches or repair damage to the coating layers with little or no outside intervention. Using only environmentally-compliant materials, our thin, lightweight anticorrosion coatings help maintain the structural integrity and decorative appearance of metal as long as or longer than competitive organic coatings and paints, thus reducing the frequency of replacing or refurbishing degraded metal parts in architectural, industrial, automotive, aircraft and marine applications.
