Black High Modulus PTFE Silicone Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape
CHR Tape 22B5 Series is manufactured with a high modulus
PTFE film coated with high-temperature silicone pressure
sensitive adhesive. This series includes products 22B5-2
CHR Tape 22B5 Series is designed for use in heat sealing and Polyethylene (PE) extrusion roller wrap protection. Dimensionally stable PTFE film and strong adhesion ensure the tape will stay in place during operations and resist curling. The highly wear resistant, anti-stick PTFE surface reduces the frequency of tape replacement while the adhesive features clean release, eliminating the need for unnecessary adhesive clean up. The 2.2 mil thick abrasion resistant PTFE backing is anti-static and offers long service life.
CHR 22B5-2HA offers increased adhesion compared to 22B5-2
for heat sealing applications.
Factory stock for CHR 22B5 series is available in master rolls 33 m × 406 mm (36 yd × 16 in). Rolls can be slit in widths ranging from 6.35 mm to 406 mm (0.25 in to 16 in). Product is available with or without a release liner.
The wear resistance and high temperature stability of CHR 22B5 series tape make it an ideal solution for PE extrusion roller wrap protection and heat sealing applications. The anti-stick surface protects the rollers in PE extrusion from molten plastic edge overspill that is being coated onto various substrates. The release surface is suitable for heat sealers where long service life is expected in order to reduce downtime. CHR 22B5-2 is specially designed for PE roller wrap applications, whereas 22B5-2HA can be used for roller wrap or heat sealing when higher adhesion is desired.
