Matte ETFE-Silicone Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Tape

CHR 2455 Blue is manufactured with a matte ETFE backing
coated with high-temperature silicone adhesive.

Features/Benefits
CHR 2455 tape is designed to be a tool (mold) release tape in
composite molding applications. The matte surface will impart
a unique matte finish to parts when it is applied directly into the mold. The matte surface finish can reduce the time
of post-process sanding and finishing. CHR 2455 provides excellent adhesion to metals, composites, and other tooling. Its high elongation allows for easy application to complex tooling shapes.

Availability
Factory stock for CHR 2455 is in master rolls 33 m × 711 mm (36 yd × 28 in). Rolls can be slit in widths ranging from 6.35 mm to 711 mm (0.25 in to 28 in). CHR 2455 is available with or without a release liner.

Applications
CHEMFILM® ETFE film offers a low surface energy, making it an excellent choice for release applications up to 200°C (392°F) process temperature. Excellent conformability and release properties of the ETFE backing make CHR 2455 ideal
for applications such as composite lay-up, roller wrapping, plate masking, and heat sealing.
