The 3M Wire Connector T/R+ (part number 3M156559-ND) is designed for electrically connecting two or more copper conductors in pigtail applications. It accommodates wire sizes ranging from No. 22 to No. 8 AWG for solid and stranded copper conductors, or 0.5 mm¬= to 6.0 mm¬= for metric sizes. The connector features a spring made of corrosion-resistant steel and an insulator composed of flame-retardant polypropylene and thermoplastic elastomer. This connector is UL Listed and CSA Certified, with a maximum voltage rating of 600 volts for building wire and 1000 volts for signs and lighting fixtures. It operates effectively at temperatures up to 105¬8C (221¬8F). The product has passed various performance tests, including dielectric voltage withstand and flammability tests, ensuring reliability in various applications. The connector is also resistant to a range of chemicals, having been tested for immersion in substances such as acetic acid and acetone without loss of material strength.
