3M,Ñ¢ Fabric Tape CN-3490 is a conductive, non-woven fabric tape featuring a unique electrically conductive pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive. It is designed for applications that require excellent electrical conductivity from the substrate through the adhesive to the conductive backing, making it suitable for grounding and EMI shielding in equipment, components, and shielded rooms. The tape has a total thickness of 2.4 mils (0.06 mm) and is constructed with a copper/nickel coated non-woven fabric backing. It exhibits a breaking strength of 35 lb/in (16 kgf/25 mm) and an adhesion strength of 30 oz/in (800 gf/25 mm). The electrical resistance through the adhesive is measured at 0.05 ohms, ensuring effective conductivity. This product is supplied on a removable liner for ease of handling and die cutting, and it has a shelf life of five years when stored under controlled conditions. The tape's flexibility, conformability, and lightweight nature enhance its usability in various applications.
