3M,Ñ¢ Copper Foil Tape 1126 is a 2.6-mil thick tape featuring a 1.4-mil flat copper foil backing with a non-corrosive, electrically conductive acrylic adhesive. It is designed for applications requiring EMI/RFI shielding, static charge draining, and surface contact with non-solderable materials. The tape can be die-cut, is solderable, and is suitable for use in electrical design and test laboratories for prototyping and troubleshooting. The adhesive does not require moisture, solvents, or heat for application, simplifying the installation process. It is flame retardant according to UL-510A standards and has a maximum electrical resistance of 0.005 ,Ѷ/in¬=. The tape offers an average shielding effectiveness of 66 dB across frequencies from 300 kHz to 2.5 GHz. It has a minimum adhesion to steel of 25 oz/in and a breaking strength of 22 lb/in. The product has a shelf life of five years when stored under recommended conditions.
