Hot & Cold Rolling

This United Engineering rolling mill can withstand 600 tons of force while rolling. Cold reductions as great as 70% have been performed on material 6 inches wide.

Tolerances on cold rolled rod material will be in the range of +/- 0.015" to +/- 0.005", depending on the diameter and condition of the material.

Tolerances on flat cold rolled material, including strip will be in the range of +/- 0.005" to +/- 0.001", depending on the thickness, width and condition of the material.

Tolerances on flat hot rolled material, including strip will be in the range of +/- 0.020" to +/- 0.010", depending on the thickness, width and condition of the material.
