Glass vs. Resin

Unlike Resin Materials, Glasses have ability to hold their shape under high temperature environment. Some glass materials such as ZERODUR® have extremely low (close to ZERO) thermal expansion! Combined with their chemical resistant property, glasses perform reliably under extreme conditions.

Better Transmittance, Less Power Consumption

Quartz Glass(Fused Quartz / Fused Silica) has better transmittance than Acryl. Plus, Quartz Glass can withstand temperature up to 1830 °F (1000 °C). These qualities make Quartz the suitable material for laser components. We specialize in complex and precision machining of custom fabricated parts made in Quartz Glass.
