Marshall Manufacturing's fiber laser significantly decreases processing time, and is capable of producing intricate features not possible using conventional machining methods.
This machine is designed to cut intricate patterns in metal tubing. The MicroT15F-300 Fiber laser by Swisstec Micro Machining, has a 20-micron fiber beam. It can function dry or wet. When operating in the wet mode, water is fed through the tube being processed to capture laser splatter. The water provides a smoother interior wall surface and reduces the heat affected zone.
The system handles tube ranging in diameter from 0.050 to .315 of an inch, with wall thickness up to 0.025 of an inch. A variety of materials may be processed on the system such as stainless steel, Nitinol, MP35N and L605 (cobalt chrome) and Titanium.
Marshall Manufacturing utilizes CAGILA CNC programming software with the laser system. This provides precision part mapping with fast CAD data preparation, CNC simulation 3D processing, optimized CNC post processing and customized reporting.
