A range of dedicated thermocouple amplifiers from Analog Devices. These integrated devices incorporate precision instrumentation amplifiers and thermocouple cold junction compensation to provide a high level output directly from a type J or K thermocouples. The following versions are available:. AD8494 for type J thermocouples, optimised operating temperature range 0°C to 50°C. AD8495 for type K thermocouples, optimised operating temperature range 0°C to 50°C. AD8496 for type J thermocouples, optimised operating temperature range 25°C to 100°C. AD8497 for type K thermocouples, optimised operating temperature range 25°C to 100°C. All versions have a measurement range equal to the full range of the relevant thermocouple type.
• Low cost and easy to use. • Can be used as a stand-alone 5 mV/°C thermometer. • Pre-trimmed for J or K type thermocouples to 1°C initial accuracy. • Wide power supply range: 2.7 to 36V or ±2.7 to ±18V. • Internal cold junction compensation. • High impedance differential inputs. • Thermocouple break detection
