Aquapure™ ACP is a liquid coagulant with organic and inorganic components. It is designed for use in settling suspended precipitates. Aquapure™ ACP will cluster the precipitate into a manageable mass and is most effective when metered on a continuous basis. It may be used with a wide variety of anionic polymers including Aquapure™ AN, Aquapure™ FW, Aquapure™ AS-1 and Aquapure™ AS PLUS.
The amount of Aquapure™ ACP necessary varies with the amount and nature of the precipitate. As a rule of thumb, an addition of 1ml per gallon of Aquapure™ ACP is tried initially. Depending upon effectiveness, increments of 0.1-0.2% increase or decrease may be called for. Some solution movement is required with addition.
Precipitating reagents are most effective in the range of pH 7 to 9. Since this is the general range for acceptable discharge to sewer, adjust the pH prior to adding precipitating reagent.
