Aquapure™I-300 is a liquid, iron-containing, cationic coagulant / metal precipitant. It is superior in
settling suspended solids and is also used to reduce chrome. It is generally used in conjunction
with an anionic flocculant but in some cases can work without the use of a
flocculant. Aquapure™I-300 may be used in an alkaline precipitation of metals or in combination
with a metal precipitant like Aquapure P 601 or Aquapure T-500.
The amount of Aquapure™I-300 necessary varies with the amount and nature of the wastewater. As a rule of thumb, an addition of 0.1% by volume of Aquapure™ I-300 is tried initially. Depending upon effectiveness, increments of 0.1% increase or decrease may be called for. While the coagulation process is fast, the Aquapure™ I-300 may require some stirring to go into solution.
Aquapure™ I-300 is added first, stirred into solution. The solution is then pH adjusted for the best pH to precipitate out the metals you are removing. Additions of an anionic flocculant are made and in many cases may require less flocculant than used with other coagulants.
