Deluxe Air Operated Spray Dispensers can be used to lubricate elevated, distant, or inaccessible points. The central steel reservoir dispenses liquid to 1 or more spray nozzles. The amount of liquid sprayed is adjustable from a fine spray, invisible to the eye, to a coarse spray. The enclosed design of this steel spray system stands up well to dusty and dirty environments. Air Operated Spray Dispensers can be used to apply liquid to conveyors, chain drives, bull gears, trolley wheel bearings, wire rope, strip stock for punch presses, or any other application requiring a film of liquid.
A pressure regulator reduces incoming pressure to 30 PSI or under within the reservoir. This adjustable, reduced air pressure forces the liquid through piping to separate control valves for dispensing or spraying. Any liquid that flows can usually be sprayed, up to 1000 SSU viscosity at 100° F. The lighter the liquid, the easier it is to spray.
The 2 ½ gallon steel reservoir is built into a steel base with user-friendly external controls for air and liquid pressure. The unique closed construction of this unit makes it ideal for dusty or dirty environments. The tank is filled by removing the top cap. A 40 micron liquid filter helps maintain liquid quality. The liquid capacity of the reservoir is 3 gallons per hour at 10 PSI. A 5” centerline liquid level gage allows liquid level and condition to be viewed from the outside of the reservoir. Buna-N Seals are used in this dispenser. There is a 25 micron air filter near the air inlet. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 180°.
The air capacity is 30 cubic feet per minute at 20 PSI. This spray dispenser features 2 air pressure regulators; one is used to regulate the incoming air to 30 PSI or under. A safety relief valve ensures that the tank pressure does not exceed 30 PSI. An additional air pressure regulator is furnished to control air pressure to the spray valve(s). Up to 4 Spray Valves may be used with this system. The amount of liquid dispensed can be controlled by adjusting the needle valve on each spray nozzle.
Two solenoid shutoff valves are housed in the base of the unit with an external 1/2” NPS connection for conduit. The solenoids are powered by 120V/60Hz (other voltages and frequencies are available upon request). Continuous or momentary spray application can be achieved by using a timer. The solenoids can also be wired across the line of a drive motor to turn the system on and off automatically with the drive.
There is a 1/4” female NPT air inlet, 1/4” female NPT air outlet, and a 1/4” female NPT liquid outlet.
The base of this unit is 13 3/8” X 10 ½”. Total height is 16 7/8”. The diameter of the reservoir is 10”. There are (4) 3/8”-24 mounting holes that can be accessed by unscrewing the feet of the unit. Wall mounting is possible with the use of a bracket.
This system requires Spray Valve(s) , and tubing/piping and fittings.
