ITW Medical has the ability to build prototype tools quickly and cost efficiently. These prototype tools and prototype parts help our customers improve their designs and assemblies. These prototype tools also help ITW identify, reduce and eliminate problems that might arise before production even begins.

Rapid prototyping can be used for quick evaluation of part designs (form and fit). These techniques include SLA (Stereolithography) and SLS (Selective Laser Sintering).

ITW Medical engineers work closely with resin suppliers to specify and utilize highly engineered thermoplastic resins when appropriate. These resins are typically used when the filter component also performs other functions including instances where highly engineered plastics, such as PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) and PPA (Polyphthalamide), are needed for replacing metal parts.
