The MBPX 810 is suitable for medium scale production needs and has a typical capacity of 500 - 4,000 litres per hour depending on feed characteristics.

The MBPX 810 is available in two versions depending on process requirements - a traditional top entry open machine or a hollow spindle, fully hermetic design.
MBPX 810SGV, non-sterilizable
The MBPX 810SGV separation system features a substantial solids collection space and a variable discharge size that gives great flexibility in handling a wide range of biomass loadings. Furthermore, it incorporates Alfa Laval's patented disc inlet that regardless of flow rate minimises shear in the acceleration zone, thereby improving separation performance as protein flocs or microbial cells will not be damaged.
MBPX 810H, fully hermetic
The MBPX 810H combines easy installation with superb separation performance. The hermetic design is achieved by a combination of a hollow-spindle inlet, a hermetic outlet and a separator bowl completely filled with liquid. The unique hermetic hollow-spindle inlet ensures the gentlest acceleration of particles, preventing them from lysing. It is ideal for mammalian cell cultures. The hermetic in- and outlet design also completely avoids air entrainment and other related problems with oxidization and foam.
