M163 Ultrasonic Commercial Fishing or Survey Transducer

Single or Dual Frequency
Airmar’s M163 is available in three versions. The first packs a 28 kHz, 2 kW array in a compact, SEALCAST™ housing. The second configuration uses nine ceramic elements that resonate at both 28 and 50 kHz and result in a very-compact, dual-frequency transducer. The 75 kHz, special-order version features an efficient, highly sensitive, 19-element array. All configurations have very high efficiency and sensitivity for their size, resulting in excellent deep-water performance. The 33 kHz, 200 kHz, and 210 kHz, dual-beam transducers have conical-beam patterns and minimal sidelobes for accurate depth measurements in both shallow and deep water. The M163’s design is easier and less costly to install than a magno-restrictive transducer requiring a steel tank.
Applications
- Shallow and deep-water survey
- Commercial fishing
