Heraeus mercury lamps of the NK-Series are low pressure, cold cathode UV lamps developed for applications in analytical instruments. They mainly emit the monochromatic mercury resonance line 254 nm. Heraeus NK lamps have been optimized for high radiance of the 254 nm line obtained by having an emitting light part that is shorter resp. designed as a capillary compared to conventional UV lamps. This feature is particular needed for light sources in optical instruments such like photometer.
