The CLSX series cable pull limit switch series has been specifically designed to offer emergency stop protection in hazardous atmospheres. Should an internal explosion occur the CLSX series has the ability to withstand the pressure of such explosion and cool the exploding gases below the kindling temperature of the hazardous atmosphere it is located within. The cover housing threads and an extended plunger between the switch cavity and the head provide flame paths offering additional protection. The CLSX series also has the ability to detect cables that may have become slack or broken over time and which are no longer set to the correct tension level required for proper operation.
