Our 8639 series features the 3-prong, Right Angle European Schuko Plug (CEE 7/7) with the Left Angle IEC-60320-C19 Connector.
These European power cords are the standard cords used for networking, laboratory, and communications equipment. They connect on one end to the standard European wall outlet and on the other end to PDUs, servers, and UPSs or any device featuring a C20 inlet.
When we refer to a Schuko being right angle, we refer to the strain relief being formed at 90 compared to the pins of the plug. The Right Angle European Schuko, therefore, trails down and away from the wall outlet.
This left angle power cord is ideal for use in confined spaces because it eliminates stress placed on the conductors and strain relief. The definition of a left angle connector is that when facing the equipment with the connector installed ground-pin-up, the cord trails away to your left-hand side.
The 8639.168 is a European power cord that carries the European and GOST approvals and is rated at 16A - 250V.
