Service Detail from Tech Met Inc.

Chemical Milling
Tech Met performs chemical milling primarily on titanium, hi-temp and ferrous alloy components, and some aluminum alloys. Alloys such as tantalum, copper, and magnesium are also processed.
Chemical milling can be done from all surfaces or selectively via masking. Milling is done to print or specification.
Typical applications of chemical milling include Inconel jet engine mixer components, titanium exhaust system cowlings, forgings (titanium, steel, or hi-temp), engine combustion cases, and thin wall tubing.
Tech Met does some smaller aluminum components in typical aerospace alloys.
Sizes up to 4 foot cube range and lengths to 10 feet are routine.
