At the end of the grinding cycle this incremental wheel retraction provides a final sparkout for the best finish and surface accuracy. 10 hp spindle motors are available for severe duty production applications. Both machines are equipped with heavy direct drive tables. The SG7000 table rotates on a precision roller thrust bearing, the choice of diesel shops for many years. The SG5500 table rides on an oil bath Turcite bearing surface and is available in an optional electromagnetic configuration.
